Tonna Gruber moved to a growing Siesta Key in the spring of 1994. Over the past 13 years she has enjoyed the environmental benefits offered by Sarasota's healthy lifestyle and has benefited from the positive community developments. Tonna is the wife of baseball legend and former Toronto Blue Jays third baseman, Kelly Gruber. Their blended family of six beautiful children ranging in age from 10 to 17 enjoy all aspects of the Sarasota lifestyle. Active in community life, they have also been fortunate to travel extensively while involved in their real estate and charitable concerns. Tonna is a  former Board Members of The Florida Center hosting The Annual Off-Shore Grand Prix, The Annual Carlton Fisk Celebrity Golf Classic, The Annual Festival of Trees and Lights and the Annual Thunder By The Bay events!  The Grubers have Co-Chaired the signature annual event The Festival of Trees Lights and Holiday Gifts.  The Florida Center for Child and Family Development is a nonprofit, community-based agency with the mission of providing quality programs and services that focus on strengthening relationships within the family and the community, and that support the healthy development of children.  The Florida Center is pleased to announce the opening of ther first  Fetal Alcohol diagnostic and treatment center in the state of Florida. To learn more about the great work realized by The Florida Center you can go on-line to www.TheFloridaCenter.org . The Gruber's travels have taken them throughout Europe, Latin America, Canada and the US on behalf of the Major League Baseball Alumni and their work with U.S. Armed Forces stationed abroad. They are in Washington, DC frequently and have participated in national bi-partisan political events such as the Women's Campaign Fund and fundraising for The Florida Center.

These travels have given the Gruber's an appreciation of the cultural environment Sarasota has provided them and their children over the years.
